John McClane is a 6 1/2 year old foster dog who came into my care from Cincinnati Animal Care on April 26, 2026. He has been in and out of the shelter since late 2020, and despite everything, he remains the perfect dog—loving, gentle, and ready to find his forever home. Around mid-May, I noticed John was unable to put any pressure on his back leg, so I took him to the shelter's vet for examination. Unfortunately, they discovered he had suffered an ACL injury, and the shelter is unable to perform the surgery he needs. Since then, John has been on pain medication to manage his discomfort, but he needs surgery, follow-up care, and therapy to regain his strength and mobility. I'm raising funds to cover the cost of his ACL surgery, medication, and any therapy he may need. This will not only help John heal, but also ensure that his future adopter doesn't have to face the burden of medical expenses right after welcoming him into their home.
