Safe Housing and Rent for John Marble

John needs to raise $500 by January 31st to pay rent, as part of the complicated process of escaping from an abusive living situation in which his roommate has been arrested for assaulting him six times—but then was released on his own recognizance. (John is open about the situation on Twitter , e.g. "Repeatedly allowing my abuser back into my home while suggesting to a disabled person “maybe you should move if it’s so bad,” is not ‘progressive prosecution’. It is complicity in my abuse…each subsequent bruise, drop of blood, and injury I’ve sustained...)

Since the San Francisco District Attorney repeatedly declined to help John escape his abusive situation, a friend got John a hotel room in San Francisco for a week, using their credit card, so he could be safe. John is already in the hotel as of Monday January 24. If you could help the friend with the expenses up to $1000, that would be so great.

So, in total, we're trying to raise $1500. Anything over that amount will go directly to John to help with basic living needs, as he has been unable to work during this time.

Please help if you can, please share with anyone you know who cares about John or has benefitted from his advocacy.
