We are starting this fund for the Livengood Family. Christina has been a friend to us for over two decades now. Her husband, John, received a partial liver transplant from his sister after being diagnosed with a very rare cancer, perihilar cholangiocarcinoma, in 2012. He has been on immunosuppressants ever since and has struggled with bouts of Crohn's and multiple hospital admissions over the years for biliary obstructions. His transplant is now failing him and with a very high MELD score has been moved up to the top of Mayo's liver transplant list. His kidneys are now beginning to fail as well. He is fighting for his life with his wife Christina, utterly exhausted, by his side. They are facing medical bills for MARS treatment (a machine that essentially functions as dialysis for the liver) until a liver becomes available. They have two very young, precious kids that John would

love to see grow up. With growing medical bills, childcare, expenses, and unpaid leave for Christina, we wanted to create this fund for anyone who is interested in helping their family during this very challenging time.
