Hello. My name is John Killeen. I am a retired corrections officer who is suffering from complex PTSD. I am reaching out for help to receive a mental health service dog from Susquehanna Service Dogs. They train and place dogs to specific needs of the handler.

I am in the process of receiving a dog and need to come up with the $5,000 to cover the training the dog will receive. I have been in mental health treatment for over 5 years, and I have plenty of tools in my toolbox. However, I still suffer from severe anxiety in public places and driving. My hope is that a service dog will be the "icing on the cake" to assist my well-being and help me be able to get out and enjoy life to its fullest.
