Help John Kick Cancer #LetsgoJMo

Donation protected
Our dearest John has been diagnosed with cancer, there is a mass in his throat blocking 90% of his airway, which means there is no time to waste. After the consultation with his primary, he has already been examined by a team of specialists at UCLA. This is great news, and he is heading in the right direction. Unfortunately, these doctors are out of John’s health insurance network, which means he must cover all of the costs. His doctor was insistant that he needed THIS team to help him with his battle and return to good health. After meeting the team, (which is lead by one of the best surgeons in the world for this type of surgery) listening to their assessment and medical plan to move forward, they are confident that by moving quickly, John can be a survivor. He is also convinced they are his best bet for this journey.

Sadly, John’s diagnosis came on the same day that he was supposed to leave for a job on the east coast. As you can imagine, he is overwhelmed and scared but trying to stay posiitve, make jokes and figure out the way forward. We can help releive some of his financial worries so that we can focus on healing and recovery.

I can’t say enough good things about my friend John, he is simply one of the most honest, kind, generous and upstanding men that I know. He’s the friend that is always there to support people, with whatever it takes. John and I first met in Nashville, Tenessee, when we were working together on a television show produced by Dick Clark. There are many great stories I could share about John but the one that best sums up who he is, is this one. After producing the show on a Friday night, John got in his car and drove over 10 hours, from Nashville to Dunn, North Carolina to attend my father’s funeral. It’s an act of kindness, friendship and solidarity that I will never forget as long as I live.

Now it’s our turn to help John laugh again, to help John live again and relieve some of his stress as he follows the path ahead. If you know John, you know how much he hates this attention. And if you know me, you know I’m not going to let him not accept help. So please, do what you can. Every donation will go to medical care and living expenses and anything left will be donated to charity. If you can’t donate, please say a prayer or send some good energy.

I will post updates from John as I get them.
