hey e'rybody. for anyone who works with their body, we all know the fear and threat of getting hurt on the job. it really isn't an if, but more of a when will it happen. john kaylan, who works for himself as a carpenter, fell this week and will require surgery to repair the damage. this couldn't have happened at a worse time as he and laura were just coming off of a financial setback that depleted their rainy day fund.
let me just say: there are people that you meet and when you walk away you ask yourself "holy @$%*, is he really that nice of a person?! john is that. just the sweetest dude. just a straight-up mensch, always kind, always caring, always helpful.
first, he has to be off his feet while waiting to heal enough for reconstructive surgery, then will be out of work for 6 to 8 weeks in recovery. he is the main breadwinner of the household. this is all of us who are self-employed's worst fear. if you can help at all, it would be greatly appreciated
