Help John “JJ” Recover from Stroke and Stay Strong

On January 5th, John "JJ" Balis suffered a significant ischemic stroke on the left side of his brain. JJ is a dedicated father to his 8-year-old son, Hunter. He works in the mail room at Boston College, security for NCW shows in Dedham, and has donated his time to various causes, including hosting Breakfast with Santa at Legion Post 118. JJ is also a former chairmember of VFW Post 2017 and a veteran who served in the Iraq war.

JJ faces a long and challenging recovery ahead. Unfortunately, his family can only provide so much support. The costs of everyday bills, ensuring Hunter's needs are met, medical expenses, and potential rehab stays are overwhelming. We expect these expenses to add up quickly.

This GoFundMe campaign aims to help JJ stay afloat during this difficult time. Your donations will go towards covering his medical bills, daily living expenses, and ensuring Hunter is well taken care of. The best thing we can do right now is to show JJ how much we care and support him in his recovery journey. Strokes often lead to depression, and we are doing our best to keep JJ's spirits high.
