Help John & Jennifer recover from Marshall Fire
Donation protected
Hi we are John &Jennifer. On December 30, 2021 a devastating fire struck through parts of Superior Colorado destroying hundreds of homes and structures including entire neighborhoods surrounding the storage area which held all our household goods and valuables. Due to the nearly 150 mph winds that fanned the flames every inch of our belongings are now covered in inches of toxic ash and dust containing every carcinogen found in most American homes.
Our household was in storage because we had returned to Massachusetts to care for our parents who have stage four cancer and dementia. Upon returning to Colorado I found that everything in the storage unit was ruined and needed to be cleaned or thrown away. We have been given an estimate of $10-20,000 to clean our items to useable condition by May. This is significantly less then the cost of replacement even with used items. However it is far beyond our means to pay for this as Jennifer has given up her income to care for my parents . We are asking our dearest friends and friends we do not know yet to help us move back to a sense of security and normalcy and to not be wiped out financially
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Anything we raise above what is needed to clean will be donated to Marshall fire victims who have lost entire homes and neighborhoods
