I am John Irwin. I recently underwent a double transplant (liver, kidney) surgical procedure as both organs were failing. I felt blessed when a donor suddenly appeared after having been on dialysis for 3 years. In the process I had to go on FMLA, however, I have not been able to work since the life saving procedure, which is now 4 months ago. I have exhausted savings and have not had a pay check during this time frame. I am in dire need for assistance with rent, SRP, car payment, and a host of other bills. I do have employment and am hoping to return soon upon release by the transplant team. I work in the behavioral services industry, assisting individuals re-enter society after release, as well as finding resources to help in that effort. I am pleading with you to help me remain healthy as I am looking forward to returning to assist those individuals who require this specialized service, but I want to return to what I love to do, help others reach their potential.
