Help John Ipes recover, survive and thrive!

John needs our help. He has been through the most devastating series of events in the last 9 months and he desperately needs our support. He asked me for help last night because he is down to his last $100. Here is what he has gone through: this year: He lost his beloved daughter, Kristin in January, 2023 to a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. This shattered all of our lives, but we will never comprehend what this did to John. At the time of Kristin’s demise, John had just had bypass surgery for coronary artery blockage, had complications, had a stroke and nearly died. Fortunately, for us, John survived and is now at home barely surviving. The stroke left him with a speech impediment, difficulty walking, poor use of his dominant right hand and difficulty with memory and cognitive functions. The physical disability is only part of it. He is severely depressed and still deep in the grieving process and is struggling to find a reason to carry on.
This is what John endures every day: He's on 16 meds for various reasons (a cost he cannot sustain), the most heart breaking is that he is on 3 different antidepressants to suppress the pain of losing Kristin and his son (parent's aren't supposed to bury their kids) so he stresses about being unable to earn a living and going broke; he really wants to get back to work to "take his mind off things", but cannot work due to his lack of mobility and inability to use the right side of his body effectively; he needs help maintaining his business property, transporting fish, maintaining fish ponds, restocking ponds, trimming trees, bushes and weeds; he is difficult to understand due to a speech impediment from the stroke, so telephone communication for his business is nearly impossible; all his business marketing, transactions and communication were done electronically by Kristin and he cannot access his customer base or check messages, transaction history or reactivate previous customers, because he doesn't have the passwords and access info as well as not knowing how to navigate social media; he has difficulty cooking, cleaning, getting in and out of bed and basically doing things that we do without effort or thinking.
Please help restore John's life and donate as generously as you can. You can donate in several ways: donate on GoFundMe.com; send him a check to his business address 9143 Hwy 418 W., Silsbee TX 77656; donate some time to help him with yard and business maintenance; donate prepared food that he can heat up or eat cold (cutting, peeling, chopping, mixing, can-opening and box opening are all challenging to him) or swing by and say “Hi”. He has lost everything he loves or cared about: His son in a car crash 6 years ago; his daughter on the 6th anniversary of losing his son; his ability to work and earn a living and his self-confidence, his business and pride, and, sadly, his personal reason for carrying on without both of his children. Donating whatever money you can will help him meet his growing household and medical expenses, back federal and property taxes. Mostly, having some cash in the bank will allow this heartbroken man to grieve the loss of the love of his life, his daughter Kristin, without the stress of not having the money to do it. He can then recover his purpose and zest for life.
Let’s show John the love and assistance he deserves and help him through this extremely difficult time.

My name is Ted Vorster, a long time friend of John and Kristin, he asked me for help last night and now I'm asking you.

Thank you for listening and thank you for your kindness to John.
