My name is Shannon White, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my brother-in-law, John Hoffman, who was involved in a devastating motorcycle accident on Thursday, August 28, 2025. This tragic event has left him with serious injuries and a long, uncertain road to recovery.
This freak accident was no one’s fault, the back tire of John’s motorcycle suddenly blew out at freeway speed. My sister Stacey, his wife, was driving behind him and witnessed the entire thing. They were on their way to sell the bike, never imagining their day would take such a tragic turn.
John is currently hospitalized with extensive injuries. He suffered a broken neck, multiple broken ribs on his right side, and a fractured shoulder blade. On his left side, his elbow is shattered, wrist is broken in two places and his hand has multiple breaks. In addition, he has severe road rash across the majority of his body.
He is scheduled to undergo a complex, 3-hour reconstructive surgery on his elbow, wrist, and hand. While we are incredibly grateful that he survived, doctors have warned that he may never regain the full mobility he once had.
As you can imagine, the medical bills are already beginning to mount, and this is just the beginning. With multiple surgeries, a lengthy hospital stay, physical therapy, and an extended time away from work ahead, the financial strain is overwhelming.
We’re asking for your support to help ease the burden on John and Stacey during this incredibly difficult time.
Every donation, no matter the amount will go directly toward his medical care and recovery. If you’re unable to give, simply sharing this page would mean the world to our family.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for keeping John in your thoughts and for being part of his healing journey.
