Hey everyone, it’s John,

What started as a frightening medical emergency has now become a full life reset. Over the past several weeks, I’ve undergone a whirlwind of major procedures, a thoracentesis to drain fluid from my lungs, an angiogram, a cardioversion, and just recently, a cardiac ablation to help correct the atrial fibrillation that had taken hold of my heart, and of course living with Congestive Heart Failure.

This all came after being diagnosed with congestive heart failure and pneumonia in both lungs, and it’s forced me to fully stop and focus on healing, physically, emotionally, and spiritually.

The Impact of Your Support:

When I created this campaign, I set a goal of $50,000, unsure of what would happen. But because of your generosity, your love, and your belief in who I am and what I stand for, we’ve now raised over $100,000.

To say I’m overwhelmed is an understatement.

Your donations have helped cover hospital stays, procedures, prescriptions, and basic life costs while I’ve been unable to work. You’ve given me something most people in my position never get... the space to heal without the crushing weight of financial fear.

Though I’m home and recovering, the road ahead is still long. My life, my body, and my day-to-day ability to function have all changed drastically. And now begins the deeper work, rebuilding my life from the inside out, restoring my health, and finding the new rhythm I’ll be living by from this point forward.

I’ve always given everything I have to others, through one-on-one healing, community service, and as the founder of The People’s Union USA, a grassroots movement built to fight economic injustice and protect working families. That work continues. It evolves with me. And your continued donations help make sure I can still show up, not just for myself, but for the millions of people who rely on voices like mine to speak truth and light into this world.
