On May 18, 2025 at approximately 6:15 p.m., my nephew, John Chambers, was involved in a vehicle-versus-pedestrian hit and run. He sustained multiple injuries - broken pelvic bone, 2 facial fractures, and one fracture at the base of his skull and is in the ICU. He is making tremendous progress, but his recovery will be long with many months of physical therapy and many more doctors appointments. His head injury is our biggest concern and he will be required to wear a neck brace for the next 8 weeks, at a minimum.
With the mounting medical expenses, we are asking for your help.
At this time, the driver has not been found and has not come forward. The driver left my nephew laying in the alley bleeding in the rain and drove off.
If you are able to make a donation, we would greatly appreciate it. And if you're not, that's ok, we would please ask that you keep him in your prayers.
If you have any information about the driver, please contact The Lewisville Police Department. The suspect vehicle is possibly a truck that was heading westbound in the alleyway between College PKWY and Grove Dr.
The amount of love and support that we've received has been amazing. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
