Help John get a power scooter

Many of you know John, and know of his struggles, especially the ones of recent.

 

For those of you who don't, John has end stage emphysema with 17% lung function.

 

We recently went through the tedious process of transplant testing. Through much debate it has been decided that transplant is not an option at this time.

 

We were advised that John takes some time to see and do the things he wants to do. Time is a factor and John doesnt have a whole lot left given his lung condition. His mobility is also very limited due to his health. And that's where he needs your help!

 

Medicare does not cover the necessary mobility aid John needs to get around. Those of you who have been to our home know of the rough, uneven, and steep terrain a power scooter will have to manage. We have a gravel and wooded lot with many areas a normal mobility chair simply will not work.

John is on oxygen 24/7 and while he can walk, it is not far at all and has the burden of carrying large oxygen tanks.

 

All funds will be explicitly used to purchase the power scooter and the necessary ramp for the vehicle for travel use. 
If we happen to raise more than the goal, all additional proceeds will go towards Johns ongoing medical care costs that include medications, therapy, rehabilitation etc.
