Help John Dyer Battle Stage 4 Lung Cancer

Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers:

We are reaching out to you during one of the most challenging times of our lives. John was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Terminal Lung Cancer. He was not feeling himself in late September and went to the hospital. After several tests, he was diagnosed with Small Cell Lung Cancer. He has a large tumor on his right lung as well as a tumor on his liver. He was hospitalized for 2.5 weeks in a local hospital and eventually discharged in October. This devastating news has not only taken an emotional toll on our family but has also brought overwhelming medical expenses and bills that we never anticipated.

John and I have been happily married for over forty-four (44) years, meeting when we were both in high school and college. We have three (3) adult children: Jason, Joshua, and Janelle, and four (4) grandchildren: Camila, Andrew, Bryson, and Brody. John has been a loving husband for over 44 years, a supportive father for 42 years, and a papa for 12 years. He has always put others first, and I want to ensure that he has the support he needs during this fight.

As we navigate this difficult journey, we are faced with mounting costs for treatments, medications, and bills that are essential for his fight against this illness. Our family's financial situation has become increasingly strained as we manage medical appointments and ongoing monthly costs. John was the main source of income, and our monthly expenses are obviously not willing to cease. I have contacted various agencies to inquire about financial assistance.

Although John loves his job and the people he works with, he has refused to consider retiring anytime soon, until now, and knows that he may not be able to return.

Every donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in our lives and will go directly towards his treatment and expenses.
