Help John during his difficult recovery PLEASE
Donation protected
My name is Tom Doyle and this is my brother, John Doyle (it says on behalf of Mary Lou Goodhue because that is our mom and she is handling his finances through his difficult recovery). As I type this, he is on day 6 of still being in critical condition on ventilation in the trauma unit at Skyline in Nashville, TN. We were riding our motorcycles together when passing by someone's house who lets their dog freely chase vehicles. The dog not only chased him, but ran completely in front of his motorcycle causing him to hit the dog and crash on the road giving him multiple injuries to include a life threatening (even still) injury to his brain. He currently is only very slightly responsive with one eye, leg, and arm, which isn't even real indicative of cognisance other than reaction to pain or irritation, etc. His injuries found so far consist of fractures/breaks to his entire face, back of his head, 3 neck vertebrae, 5 ribs, and a broken thumb on his left hand among other injuries that are insignificant when compared. He has multiple brain bleeds (global bleeding and brain trauma) with swelling that still hasn't gone down. His right eye seems to be inoperable and non-responsive due to a possible nerve severance or rupture, and his right side also appears to not have any signs of motor skills or reactions to pain or stimulation likely from the brain damage. He works on computers in Glasgow, KY near his home and has made the entire area proud and happy customers keeping their computer needs met to include numerous necessary functions such as surrounding law enforcement and public services. Since he works for himself, making only enough to get the jobs done and live off of the rest, he has no other income, no major assets, no workers comp to fall back on. It will be a lengthy process to gain disability for him and his bills are coming in while the medical bills are building up. Anything you give is going to his utility bills, related travel expenses, lost wages, and medical bills or any supplies that John may need to get through this. My brother needs you. He need us all to pitch in and keep him going as he has kept us going wether it was fixing people's computers, being a family man and being there for them, and for just being a good volunteer for others when they needed his help. Please help him with this so he can get back to the love of his life and his children, and all the rest of us who need him in our lives. He's just too good of a person to turn one's back on. I want to type more, but the reasons are too big for this space, just like his heart. Every penny matters and makes a difference. No donation will be looked at as too small. Even just pocket change that gets thrown into a jar can make a difference if we band together. Thank you in advance, and please take a moment to help him even just a little.
