Help John Durham Fight Parkinsons

Thank you for your consideration in helping the Durham Family.
John and his wife, Melissa pastor a wonderful church in Houston, TX. They have three kids (Justin 21, Collin 18 and Trinity 3). In 2015 John began experiencing some strange physical symptoms. He sought medical help and was diagnosed with early onset Parkinson’s. Later, in 2016 it was discovered that this disease was caused by a rare genetic mutation which effects multiple systems. In just 3 years he has gone from a healthy young man, to being confined to a wheelchair most days. His balance is very unsteady, speech slurred and there are days that he is overcome by pain, among many other symptoms.
Even though he has one of the best neurologists in the south as the leader of his care team, there is not much hope in modern medicine. The treatment at best, is just to control symptoms, in the form of 40+ pills per day. Still, his condition is declining rapidly. So much so, that they have had to pursue the purchase of a 1 story and smaller home.
John and Melissa, while holding on tightly to hope for a miracle, have researched alternative treatments. They found an experimental stem cell treatment that shows promise to slow down or even heal this disease. Because it’s experimental, insurance doesn’t cover any of the costs involved. They very much appreciate prayers and any financial assistance that is given!
