Help John, Daisy & Donald Stay in Their Home
Donation protected
My name is John, and I’m a Navy veteran who has dedicated over 15 years to helping others as a Trauma Therapist, specializing in Childhood Developmental Trauma. Recently, I faced an unexpected setback when a marketing contract I relied on to grow my therapy practice fell through due to financial mismanagement on their end. This left me without clients or income, and I’ve been struggling to find a new job that can cover my rent and basic needs. I’ve been actively applying for several positions, primarily as a 911 dispatcher role that fits my experience, but the hiring process takes time. My application has already been accepted, and I’m scheduled to take the California POST exam for Public Safety Dispatcher on 5/29. I’m hopeful, but until I secure steady work, I’m unable to pay my rent and risk losing my home.
Throughout this difficult period, my two cats, Daisy and Donald, have been my emotional anchors (although, they think their names are “Don’t chew on that” and “That is not a toy”). They’re siblings from the same litter and have brought me comfort and companionship when I needed it most. Daisy and Donald are not just pets, they’re my family, my kids, and my emotional support. Their playful antics and unconditional love have helped me cope with the stress and uncertainty of my situation. My apartment manager has been understanding, but I must pay my upcoming rent to avoid eviction and keep a roof over our heads.
I’m reaching out for help to cover my rent for June, which will give me the time I need to secure a new job and get back on my feet. Any support will help me, Daisy, and Donald stay together in our home and move forward from this challenging chapter. Thank you for considering a donation and for helping us through this temporary hardship.
