Help John and Sauni Through This Hard Time
Donation protected
My dear friends and clients -- John and Sauni Wickstrom and their two daughters, Faith and Gracie -- are facing an emergency due to a severe leg injury, which will keep John, who is the family's primary breadwinner, unable to work for at least 3 months.
This family has really been through it. I met them in 2022 when they were searching for a home in the Treasure Valley to be near family. John works for UPS in Hawaii and was second in line for a transfer when the family decided to go ahead and purchase their home in Nampa, live apart for a few months, and then reunite after the transfer was completed. A few weeks after closing on their home, however, the company's transfer policy was reconfigured, tanking their hopes of being united any time soon. This family has now been separated for over 3 years. John just recovered from a long-needed knee surgery, which required all their savings to stay afloat during the 6-8 weeks of that recovery.
Now, not quite two weeks ago, while visiting his family here in Idaho, John had a freak accident and broke his leg in two places, just below the previous surgical site. The repair required two surgical procedures. John will not be able to return to work for at least 3 months, maybe longer. In the meantime, they must still maintain living arrangements in Hawaii in anticipation of John's return to work. John's doctors here are out of network, so, besides normal living expenses without their source of income, the Wickstroms are also unsure about what John's medical bills will look like.
Will you help take the financial burden off their shoulders and bring encouragement in what no doubt seems like an overwhelming and insurmountable turn of events?
