Hi everyone. My name is Ryan McMurray, and I am raising funds for my parents, John and Laurie. They live in Burnsville, NC and were recently impacted by Hurricane Helene. They have not had electricity, hot water, or cell phone service since September 27th. Communication has been sporadic, but I do know that roughly 40 trees on their property fell during the storm. Their road, and the main road nearby are both completely washed out. Two large trees are threatening to fall on their house.

I received a text message from my father in the early hours of the morning today. The text read “please start a GoFundMe tomorrow. We need a lot of help out here.” So, that is what I am doing.

Donations will be used to pay for necessities like bottled water and non-perishable food, plus tree work and debris removal from their property, and a generator so they can have hot water.
