On August 22, 2021 water surrounded my parents house and collapsed part of the foundation. The water rushed in with such force it shook the house, immediately filled the basement and began making its way up to the first floor. They fearfully ran for their lives from their home. Within minutes the house that my parents had made a home for the past 28 years was gone. The road since that day has been hard and unforgiving. Insurance has been no help and my parents are receiving little to no help from the government. They were able to save some clothes but are going to need help with repairs, temporary housing, new furniture, etc. Anything you can give is greatly appreciated.
