Help John and Annette Puente Save Their Home

John and I have come upon financial hardship as I have been unable to work because I don't have a car anymore. We have $12,000 that we owe in property tax. We have another $3,000 that we owe in back taxes on the house. This is not to mention $20,000 in loans that we owe. I also need $5,000 in order to get a car so that I can get back to work as a Public Schoolteacher and help pay off the loans. Anything that you can give is going to go towards saving our house so that we and Cari, our 16-year-old daughter, can continue to live here. I have refrained from using this venue; however, I am desperate and scared, and I'm willing to do anything that I can to help this family stay in this house. So I am asking for any kind of financial assistance so that we can get back on our feet.

Post Update:

We are facing a pressing deadline, as our first property tax installment of $2,834.90 is due on February 10, 2025. Regrettably, unforeseen events, including a lower-than-expected paycheck and a basement flood, have hindered our ability to meet this deadline. If we fail to make the first installment on time, we will be required to pay $11,339.60 immediately and the consequences will be severe.

Plus, last, but definitely not least…. True gratitude to close longtime friend of mine, also another neighbor. You made the most wonderful delicious bread and brought it to me this weekend straight out of the oven! It went so quick I did not have a chance to take a picture of the whole loaf!
