Help John and Eddie: Unemployment and Medical Bills

Donation protected
Hi Friends,
This is by far the most difficult post I've ever made. In October of 2023, my employer had a mass layoff, and since then I have struggled to find a new role in the software industry as many companies are contracting or hiring for specific regions.
In addition to not being able to find a new job, some of you may know that I struggle with health issues as 15 years ago I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. The condition takes a major toll on my joints, ligaments, tendons and bones causing joint pain, diminished ability and even worse, mechanical injury.
The reason that I haven't simply gone and taken a job at my local Lowes or other retailer is that I am facing a double knee replacement, my left knee has a partial torn MCL, ACL, no meniscus Boone degradation and I recently found out my right knee has a disintegrated meniscus and is now partially bone on bone.
The RA contributes to something called "Drip" in my spinal column, causing damage to the bones and discs in my thoracic and lumbar spinal regions.
I face surgeries for my knees and back, so It suffices to day that my days of playing sports are over.
In the 15+ months of unemployment I have run through my savings and I'm now 3 months in arrears on my rent and other bills, I struggle to keep the lights on and a roof over the heads of Eddie and I.
I've applied for over 480 jobs, some with referrals, but so far I've had no luck, agism and my need to work from home because of medical issues and injuries seem to be playing a role in the decision making.
So, humbly, I'm asking for my friends for a little help in this time of need, fully realizing that other people are suffering so much more than I am.
A your help can and go a long way to keep my family together as me losing my house would mean a change in my custody arrangement with Eddies mom.
I would never make this request if I hadn't already exhausted all of my personal finances and sold most items that weren't bolted down to cover medical bills, housing costs, utilities for Eddie and I.
This is obviously not a situation I ever thought that I would find myself in during my lifetime, it's both humbling and embarrassing.
If some of you would like to make a donation and receive a piece of art in return, I'm happy to make that barter.
Thank you in advance for your friendship and kindness, I'm mortified that I even have to ask this of my friends.
Sincerely,
John
