It’s with heavy hearts that we share the permanent closure of Cindy’s Cafe, after 25 years. We had hoped to stay open, but the building we’ve been in is being torn down, and unfortunately, it’s not ours to save.
This, combined with the declining health of one of our owners, has made it impossible for us to continue at this time. These funds are going to be used for medical and personal expenses as we navigate this new normal.
John, our owner’s husband, has become very ill. As a child, he had Polio and currently is experiencing Post-Polio Syndrome. He recently had a heart stent placed because of blockage; and is currently awaiting surgery for other complications. He is now in a wheelchair and needing 24-hour care and physical therapy in hopes that he will recover and be able to walk again.
We are so grateful for the love and support our community has shown us over the years — you’ve truly become part of our family. Any support means more than words can express.
We appreciate anything, and above all, your prayers are very much needed at this time.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
