Help Johanna “Jade” Fiel Get Vital Treatment

My mother, Johanna “Jade” Fiel, has been a beacon of strength and dedication. Over the past four years, she has fought hard against her battle with Lymphoma. Unfortunately, she now has a bone marrow dysfunction.

If you have ever met my mom, you’d know she is one dedicated woman. She’s worked hard as a single mother to raise her two daughters. When given the opportunity, she’d support those in need. She had opened her heart as well as her home to others.

For the past few years, she has been in & out of the hospital. For the most part, she’s been strong-willed. We had recently celebrated another blessed year with her on June 10th, but five days later on the 15th, she was admitted to the ICU. She had spent the remainder of the month on life support in a semi-induced coma. The beginning of July was more hopeful. She was fully conscious & working to regain her strength. Currently, she is undergoing blood/platelet transfusions almost every other day to fight off infections & nearing two months into her stay at the hospital. She’s been able to regain slow but steady body movements. With a smile on her face & a few cracked jokes nonetheless. However, she is not in the clear yet. She is still faced with a few more challenges ahead. She is now in need of off-island medical treatment.
