Help Johana document Afro-South American cultural heritage!

Johana Gruezo is a passionate and empirical researcher of Afro-South American cultural heritage and folklore. Her travels and research have taken her to Afro-descendent communities throughout South America, documenting the unique heritage of each one to strengthen community identity and pride, promote sustainable development and food security, raise global education and awareness, and develop local economies.

To elevate her impact, Johana started this fundraising campaign to finance the purchase of a professional video camera, which will allow her to produce high-quality audiovisual recordings of the communities she works with. Her recordings will be useful for the communities themselves, for the historical archive, and for public audiences in Colombia, South America, and beyond.

Donations will fund the purchase of a camera and accessory equipment (tripod, mic, etc.). Impact on the local economy: The project can also have a positive impact on the local economy, since by making cultural traditions visible, it can promote cultural tourism and fair trade of products related to Afro-Colombian traditions, such as musical instruments and handicrafts. ¡Ayuda a Johana a documentar el patrimonio cultural afrosudamericano!

Johana Gruezo es una investigadora apasionada y empírica del patrimonio cultural y el folclore afrosudamericanos. Sus viajes e investigaciones la han llevado a comunidades afrodescendientes de toda Sudamérica, documentando el patrimonio único de cada una de ellas para fortalecer la identidad y el orgullo de la comunidad, promover el desarrollo sostenible y la seguridad alimentaria, aumentar la educación y la concienciación globales y desarrollar las economías locales.

Para aumentar su impacto, Johana inició esta campaña de recaudación de fondos para financiar la compra de una cámara de vídeo profesional, que le permitirá producir grabaciones audiovisuales de alta calidad de las comunidades con las que trabaja. Sus grabaciones serán útiles para las propias comunidades, para el archivo histórico y para el público de Colombia, Sudamérica y otros países.

Las donaciones financiarán la compra de una cámara y equipo accesorio (trípode, micrófono, etc.). Cada donación es un paso hacia la realización del sueño de Johana de documentar el hermoso y único patrimonio de las comunidades afro-sudamericanas.
