HELP JOHAN TO REBUILD HIS HOME

MERRITT. Hi, my name is Jana Bislin and I am fundraising for Johan Helgason. I am sorry it shows as if he is fundraising, but it’s me and somehow I cannot change the misprint here, I am not so great with computers.

Johan is a very honest, quiet, and humble man in his 50s, who lived at the end of this property on Pine Street. My heart is hurting when I see what the flood did to many people, and him. It took his little house away, with his books, dvds, clothes, furniture, pictures (he paints), his photos of his family back from Europe, all his possessions. The money for building his little dream home he got from his dad that died 4 years ago. From a shed, he managed to make nice clean living quaters, which were small but he was happy. The river took it all in one day last week. It’s all he had. He is a Christian man and he can never save this money, because he is handicapped. Many people see him every Thursday in Merritt bringing them newspapers. He is hard working, despite his problems with his legs. He was born with a hip bone caved in, problem that caused many surgeries in his childhood. He also suffers from arthritis. I hope many people will help him to get on his feet. He deserves it. Here is a picture, you can see his house before the flood and now  the river runs there. The emergency fund doesn’t cover outbuildings. HELP please.
