Finding the words for this hasn’t been easy.

My name is Joey, a native Texan (Houston) and fun, outgoing, hard-working, and adventurous guy. Recently, I learned that I’m living with cancer. I’m facing this diagnosis while residing in a city that isn’t home to me, and I will be going through the chemotherapy journey largely on my own starting Christmas week. Some days have been heavier than others since learning of my diagnosis, but I’m doing my best to stay strong and take things one step at a time.

Along with the physical and emotional toll, the financial weight of starting to undergo treatment has been extremely overwhelming, to say the least. Preparing myself mentally to take chemo, covering living expenses, transportation, preventative medications, and daily needs has become a real hardship while trying to find some balance in managing work, home life, and care needs. I've been told I am going to need to be tough for the weeks ahead. It pains me to say, I need some financial help!
