Help Joey Reynolds Heal After Tragic Accident

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Monica and I am the sister to Joey Reynolds. I am setting up this page for help with his medical expenses.
On September 27,2024 Joey was involved in a motor vehicle accident. He was on his way to South Ga to help with the hurricane to clean up as he does tree work. On US hwy 19 they had a tire blow out on the trailer that was pulling their bobcat. They merged over as far as they could in order to change the tire but a unfortunate of events occurred after. A lady was coming down the hwy and did not yield to them and hit him head on. We did lose a loved one in this incident as well. However, Joey's right leg was severed in two different places as the trailer landed on top of him and he was entrapped. He has a 6 inch fractur to his skull, 36 staples in the back of his head, a broken clavicle bone, a fractured neck and spine and was placed on life support ar the scene. We are currently at Macon Navicent hospital where he is being treated but the extent of his medical expenses are going to cost a lot more than we have as he did not have health insurance. Several people have asked to help and I am making this page only for those who are wanting to help as we are not able to go to work and pay bills due to the uncertainty of his conditions at this time we are here with him. For those of you who wish to donate God bless you and we are truly just grateful he is here with us.

****UPDATE****
Joey has went through a 9 hr surgery on his leg, he is still in the STICU here at Macon Trauma Center. We have confirmed C4,5,6,7 I'm his neck are broken and he has a protrusion along these disc in his neck as well. His spinal cord was hyper extended in the accident and had been diagnosed with Central Cord Syndrome and his arms are not working. He will have to be put in a occupational therapy to relearn how to use his arm and legs. I applied for Medicaid which was advised here by the case manager and the lady called this morning and advised me he did not qualify, I then started searching individual insurance option to pay for myself and they all declined him and stated that his level of trauma care he would need they had no plans that he would qualify for. We are not a wealthy family and the stress and hardship this has caused on me and his mother is far more than we could have imagined. We do not financially have the money to pay for medical treatments once he is released and I feel like there is no hope. At this time we are at a stand still and praying for God to step in as this is all we can do.

Update: Day 13
We are still at Macon Navicent Hospital he is awake and knows we are here with him. Physical Therapy has came in and sat him up in the bed however, he has no control over his bowels or mud section. He still has no use of the right side of his body from the Spinal Cord Injury. The protrusion of the spinal cord has worsen since 5 days ago and we are waiting for the Shepherds home to see if they will take him on a charity bed as I have still not been able to fund medical insurance that will cover him. As of now he can sit up in the bed, talk to us, but he cannot walk, use his arms and legs, or control any bowel movements. We are hoping therapy and God can reverse this damage and restore him. Right now we are just on God's time.
