Joey is a young airman stationed at Kirtland Air Force Base, and I’ve had the privilege of getting to know him through our Christian Ministry on base over the past year. He is married to a woman who lives in the Philippines, but due to circumstances beyond their control, they haven’t been able to see each other in person for almost two years. Despite the distance, Joey remains deeply committed to his wife and her extended family, sending much of his income to support them, which is a meaningful part of Filipino culture. He is also working hard to bring her to the United States, but the visa process is both lengthy and expensive, adding to their challenges. They have now been told they will have to wait 23 more months for a Visa.
Joey’s greatest wish right now is to visit his wife in the Philippines and spend precious time together, something that would mean the world to both of them and help strengthen their marriage. Over the next 23 months, while they wait for her visa to be approved, Joey hopes to make more than one trip to the Philippines so they can maintain their connection and support each other through this long process. He has the time off accumulated, but the financial burden of travel and related expenses makes it difficult for him to make these trips on his own. As someone who has witnessed his dedication and kindness firsthand, I want to help him reunite with his wife and support their journey toward building a life together.
If you feel moved to help, your support would go directly toward Joey’s travel expenses for these trips, allowing him to finally see his wife after so long apart and continue nurturing their marriage. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a real difference in their lives. Thank you for considering helping a devoted airman and friend during this important time.
