My name is Ayreen, and I am reaching out with a mother’s hope and a heart full of love for my son, Joey. Joey is 17 years old and lives with moderate Autism. He prefers to be called Joey, and he is the light of our family—gentle, bright, and so full of potential. Despite his challenges, Joey faces each day with quiet strength. He has never received therapy beyond what his school provides, but I have spent the last five years searching for something that could truly help him thrive.
Through my research, I discovered stem cell therapy—a treatment that offers real hope for Joey to find his voice, express his feelings, and gain more independence. I dream of the day when Joey can share his thoughts in his own words, build sentences without mimicking, and feel more in control of his emotions. This therapy could open doors for him that have always felt just out of reach.
I work two jobs, often more than 84 hours a week, to support our family and save for Joey’s therapy. We do not receive any government assistance, and I have always tried to manage on my own, even when times were tough. Recently, my mother suffered a serious fall and needed surgery, and I am her only support. Despite saving for four years, I am still short of what Joey needs for this therapy, and insurance will not help. Joey turns 18 next June, and the best chance for success is if he receives the treatment now.
I have never asked for help before, but for Joey, I am reaching out to you. If you are able, please help us give Joey the chance to live more independently and reach his full potential. Your kindness and generosity will mean the world to us, and I pray you are blessed a thousandfold for your support.
