Help Joey Kick Cancer's A$$

Donation protected

Hi, my name is Michele and I am Joey's Mom. If you know Joey, then you know what a great guy and loving father he is. You probably already know how competitive he is and what a warrior he is on the soccer field...so you know that he will be working hard to kick this cancer's A$$.

If you don't know Joey, then allow me to tell you a little about him.

Joey Massey is 34 years old, the oldest child of five siblings and Father of two beautiful little girls, Baylea is 9 and Jamie is 4. He was born and raised in Mesquite, Texas and graduated from North Mesquite High School where he received the Coach's Award in Soccer. He has been a part of the Lowes family for 10 years and was just recently promoted to Assistant Store Manager.

In October of 2020, Joey was diagnosed with Testicular Cancer with a Seminoma tumor and then immediately underwent removal surgery. Thankfully it was caught very early and the surgery was a success! All he had to do was recover from the surgery and eventually regain his normal energy levels, with the statistics that has a 15% reoccurence rate

Now this June, Joey started having some medical issues along with extreme pain. On his second ER visit, he was admitted to Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas for tests. Unfortunately, we heard what we didn't want to hear.....the cancer was back and had settled in the lymph nodes in his lower abdomen.

After spending four days in the hospital working on pain management, they determined that he was stage 2B and scheduled him to start Chemeotherapy on Monday June 21st. He was immediately put on short term disability at work and told to rest up and prepare for everything that comes with Chemo. He is now midway through the first week and "more exhausted than he has ever been" . He is scheduled for one week of daily Chemotherapy then two weeks off and then start all over again......for four rounds. Dr. Modi has given him a 90% success rate on the Chemotherapy plan that he is on, which is great.

With the hospital stay, all the testing, four rounds of Chemotherapy and being on short term disability for three months......you could imagine the mountains of bills piling up! The cost of good health care is ASTRONOMICAL so we are asking for any help you can offer towards all these bills.

Any help whatsoever would be greatly appreciated and we certainly could use any prayers, positive vibes and good juju you can send our way! Blessings to you and Yours.
