Help Joey Heal: Overcome Rare Injury Together
Donation protected

On June 11, 2024, Joey was in a motorcycle accident. The accident happened just under a mile from our home. A truck pulling a gooseneck trailer made a left, after pulling to the side of the road, with no trailer lights or turn signals on the truck and without checking his mirrors, in front of Joey forcing him to lock up the brakes and inevitably hitting the trailer and landing on top of it.
- Joey's injuries have led to 5 surgeries to date, a wound vac, and a picc line due to having 2 major infections. His injury is called a Morell-Lavallee, which is rare but serious. It is a degloving injury.
Anyone that knows Joey knows how loyal, kind, and hardworking he is. Being laid up is killing him.
I, Blair, am the only one that is working and I have to take time off to help care for my husband, he was supposed to start a new job the day after the accident.
This journey has been extremely hard. But asking for help is even harder, that is why it has taken us this long to ask for help.
Anything and everything is so much appreciated.
Thank you in advance and we love each and every one of you!
he is also a volunteer firefighter of 18 years for Wheatland Twp in Remus
