On April 15, my husband Joey suffered a massive heart attack, what doctors call a widow maker. It was terrifying and happened without warning. Joey had to undergo surgery and have two stents placed. We are incredibly grateful that he is still here, but this has turned our lives upside down in an instant. Right now, his recovery has to come first, and that means he will be unable to work for anywhere from three months to as long as a year depending on how rehab goes.

I do not like asking for help, but I am facing a situation I cannot carry alone. With Joey out of work, I am trying to keep up with our regular household bills while also covering gas for his trips to rehab and the growing medical expenses from his heart attack and surgery. The financial pressure is overwhelming, and I know that if we do not have support, Joey will worry about money and feel pushed to go back to work before he is truly ready.

I am asking for help so Joey can take the time he needs to heal without the constant stress of how we will make ends meet.
