I need my prayer warrior friends... This time not for us, but for some of our closest friends we met through Jeeps... Deanna Bonilla and David Bonilla's son Joey, who is just 15, was admitted to Dayton Children's Hospital with what they believe is a rare case of Transverse Myelitis. He had been sick several days prior with a temperature. They didn't think much of it because everybody else in the family had been sick with what they thought was a cold or the flu. Joey went in last week for fluids, he went back to feeling good for a few days and then began having numbness in his legs with no feeling. He was then taken immediately to the hospital, which then transferred him to Children's. They have determined he has swelling in his spinal cord. They are doing all kinds of testing, spinal tap, MRIs, and he is on a strong steroid drip. They are doing physical therapy and they have him using a walker. He is 3 days in with very little change. They have been told it can be up to 1 year before they see improvements. All prayers, positive thoughts, and support are welcome. Both Dave and Deanna are trying to manage juggling between work, hospital, and home with Joey's twin brother Dylan (which by the way, Joey is apparently 1 minute older than Dylan).
Thank you all in advance!!!
