My Stepdad Joey Muscarella had open heart surgery on March 10th to remove an aneurysm on his heart. Before removing the Aneurysm he had to have a trach inserted, since then he has been in and out of ICU because while being in the hospitals care the entire time he has had infections in his feeding tube, trach and now recently he has an infection in his open heart incision which now has to be kept open.He recently had two more surgeries this week, the first one to remove fluid from his lungs that resulted in a collapsed lung and the second to fix his sternum which is now broke. As of today the infection in his chest incision continues to get worse. Joe is the sole provider for him and my mom so him being in the hospital longer than expected has put a toll on their finances with my mom having to drive there every day with today’s gas prices and paying for parking while trying to cover their every day finances. Anyone that knows Joe, knows he is the first one to help anyone out when in need so I am asking for help cover some finances for him and my mom during this hardship as he is looking at a long road of recovery.
