Due to the current crisis in the Ukraine, the processing times for Joelle's work permit and medical insurance is taking longer than expected.
Joelle is still in need of medical care, rent money, and day-to-day living expenses.
Without MSP, a visit to a doctor costs between $120-160. Joelle also needs to undergo medical imaging required due to an injury sustained in May 2020, resulting in additional medical costs.

About Joelle and her situation:
Joelle is an exceptional member of our community who is currently experiencing unemployment while she waits for her work permit to be processed. As this process can take several months, she is seeking funds to cover the cost of rent and food for the duration of that time. In addition, she does not have MSP coverage while this application is processing, so funds for medical care are also needed. Joelle lives under compounding intersections that often leave her in precarious positions with scarce access to resources.
