Joelle is a beloved staple in the Algiers community in New Orleans. I’m starting a GoFundMe to support her during her healing journey. Below, in her own words, is what happened.

On Feb. 20th, I had a pretty severe accident (one leg fell through a floor vent and the other didn't). I snapped/broke some of my tibia, fibula, and ankle. My foot was on my leg backwards!! Like in the movies.

I have all the nails, screws, plates, and bolts listed in my leg now. All the silver bandages are where the implants are.

I cannot work for the next 4-6 months.

Not much more to say. I have always tried to be a good person and a hard worker. This has me gutted in a lot of ways. It is pretty hard and a lot embarrassing to ask, but if you want to and if you can, please help$. Thank you truly.
