In April 2025, I underwent dental surgery and paid my total balance on the day of the procedure, believing everything was settled. However, I later discovered that bone grafts had been placed during the surgery without my knowledge. A few weeks later, I received an unexpected bill in the mail for these additional procedures. I tried to dispute the charges, but unfortunately, the situation escalated and I was taken to small claims court. The judge ultimately sided with the dental office, and now I am responsible for paying a bill that I never anticipated.

This unexpected expense has created a lot of financial stress for me. I am currently a full-time nursing student, already managing student debt and living on a tight budget. Having to pay this bill makes it even harder to focus on my studies and move forward with my education.
