On the morning of January 6, 2026, Joella Morris’ life changed in an instant when her house caught fire. Joella is an 87-year-old widow who lost everything in the blaze—her clothes, furniture, keepsakes, and all her daily necessities were destroyed. While we are incredibly grateful that everyone made it out safely, Joella now faces the overwhelming task of rebuilding her life from scratch. She is currently staying with family, but the road ahead includes finding temporary housing, replacing basic necessities, and eventually rebuilding her home.
