Joelis Isabela Pacheco Goicochea is a bright and loving 7-year-old girl, the daughter of my dear friends Joel and Aurimer Joelis has always been full of hope and kindness, dreaming of one day becoming a heart doctor so she can help other children facing the same challenges she does. Her strength and gentle spirit inspire everyone around her, and she brings joy to her family and friends every day.
Recently, Joelis was diagnosed with a serious heart disease, called Truncus arteriosus type 1, and she now needs urgent open heart surgery to give her the chance for a healthy future. This is a rare, life threatening congenital heart defect where a single common vessel (trunk) leaves the heart, subsequently branching into the Orta and a main pulmonary artery. The surgery must take place in Ecuador, and her family is doing everything they can to make it possible. However, the costs for medical care, travel, and recovery are overwhelming, and they need support from caring people like you.

Joelis siempre ha estado llena de esperanza y bondad, soñando con convertirse algún día en doctora del corazón para poder ayudar a otros niños que enfrentan los mismos desafíos que ella. Recientemente, a Joelis le diagnosticaron una enfermedad cardíaca grave llamada tronco arterioso tipo 1, y ahora necesita con urgencia una cirugía a corazón abierto para tener la oportunidad de un futuro saludable. Este es un defecto cardíaco congénito raro y potencialmente mortal en el que un solo vaso común (tronco) sale del corazón y luego se ramifica en la aorta y una arteria pulmonar principal.
