Hi, my name is Adrian and I’m fundraising for my dad, Joel.

On July 27th, my dad was in a serious dirt bike accident while riding with family. He was rushed to University Hospital in San Antonio, where doctors found multiple severe injuries:

• All ribs on his left side fractured

• A broken pelvis (which required surgery on July 29th)

• A broken left shoulder

• Lacerations and deep road rash across his face, head, and arms

• Damage to his spleen

• Two brain bleeds, still being monitored

• A temporal bone fracture on the left side of his skull

• A ruptured eardrum

My dad is one of the hardest-working people I know. He never complains, never slows down, and if something needs to be built, fixed, or landscaped—he’s the one people call. He’s the kind of man who helps others without ever asking for anything in return.

Now, he’s facing a long road to recovery. Due to the extent of his injuries, especially the broken pelvis, he’ll be immobilized for quite some time. He won’t be able to return to work anytime soon, and like most families, we aren’t prepared for something like this. Between medical bills, therapy, and basic living expenses, we’re overwhelmed.
