Help Joel Get His Critical Second Hand Surgery

Friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

I’m reaching out for your support during this challenging time. My husband Joel urgently needs a second hand surgery to remove two stripped screws and the metal plate from his wrist. Without this surgery, the shifted metal plate will eventually grind away at his newly placed tendon, putting us back to square one.

Joel will be unable to return to work for several months following his most recent surgery, along with this surgery scheduled for January 20th. After doing my research, I was able to find a new, low-deductible insurance plan on marketplace for my husband, but the cost of surgery and physician fees are estimated at $1800. This amount is much lower than the original estimate, but unfortunately it’s still beyond our means at this time.

For eight weeks starting in January, I can only work one 5 hour shift per week, as I must finish my class’s fieldwork (clinical’s) remediation. This upcoming break means I will have very little income, making our financial situation even more challenging.
