Help Joe Walsh make a comeback!
Donation protected
28 years ago, in 1992, Joe Walsh was rear-ended by someone going 70 MPH and then hit head-on and thrown into oncoming traffic. This accident was the cause of his back issues, which resulted in surgeries in 1993, 1997 and a fusion in 2001. Despite being in horrible pain every day for 22 years, Joe still managed to work every day, but he was hit again in 2018 and needed a hip replacement. After recovering from the hip replacement, he took a job working with people with traumatic brain injuries. His client became ill, and couldn’t walk, and had to be lifted everywhere he went, putting terrible stains on Joe’s back and legs, eventually causing Joe’s bottom disc to blow out. Joe has been unable to work since June 1st, and because of his previous injury, he has been denied workers comp and social security disability. He has gone without any income for 5 months. At the end of November, Joe is undergoing two more surgeries. First is another fusion on the blown-out disc, then an osteotomy, during which they will break seven vertebrae, as the latest injury has pushed his spine 17 cm forward. With medical bills, rent and other living expenses, Joe’s savings is running out, and he really could use some help. Joe has been in pain for all of his adult life, but now it’s so bad he can’t stand or walk much and needs these surgeries. His recovery from these surgeries will take months, and it could be at least a year before he can work again. Joe has been my best friend for over 40 years. If you know him like I do, you know he is one of the kindest, funniest, most sincere people you will ever meet. Please consider helping him out. Your generosity is very much appreciated!
