Help Joe Through Kidney Transplant and Peripheral Neuropathy

Hello, my name is Joseph, and at the age of 2 years old, I was diagnosed with Type-1 Diabetes. Fast forward to present day and I am in my late 30's and am currently in Stage 5 chronic kidney disease (CKD). I am in need of a kidney transplant and deal with daily debilitating pain from diabetic peripheral neuropathy. I am fundraising to afford a medical grade low level laser light therapy device for my peripheral neuropathy. I was seen by a neurologist a few months ago and informed of this medical device by him. I was allowed to try the device for a mere 30 minutes during my appointment, and the pain in my legs and feet was greatly diminished. The numbness in my legs and feet had decreased, and I was able to feel my lower extremities in a manner that I recall before this condition existed. I was told that this device/equipment would cost an estimated $7,000. But unfortunately, I cannot afford this specific medical equipment on my own.

Because of my diabetic peripheral neuropathy, I haven't worked since 2013. I have been on disability for the past 7 years. My condition is worsening as time goes on and as of the past 8 weeks, I am having extreme difficulty doing simple, everyday tasks such as standing, attending my weekly kidney dialysis appointments, getting in and out of bed and walking short distances because of the unbearable pain that I am experiencing in both of my legs and feet. My sleep has been negatively impacted as well, due to the constant pain and numbness that I experience in my lower extremities.

Being able to purchase this medical device would mean the world to me. It would significantly decrease the pain and numbness that I experience daily and greatly improve my ability to perform routine day-to-day activities. In addition, it would allow me to enjoy spending time with my family, my son and my daughter once again, and help me get back to partaking in my hobbies that I like, such as fishing, repairing vehicles and simply walking around outside, in nature or at a park. This device would provide a chance for me to re-gain part of my life that has been missing for a long while.
