Last month, I was hit hard by pneumonia and was unable to work for several weeks. This sudden illness left me struggling to keep up with my rent and bills, and now I find myself two months behind. On top of the rent, I’m facing court fees and late fees that have added up quickly, making it impossible for me to catch up on my own.

Recently, I received an eviction notice and went to court, where I was told I would need to leave my home within five days. Thankfully, my manager has given me a little more time to try and pay the outstanding amount, but the pressure is overwhelming. Without help, I’m at risk of losing my home and becoming homeless, which is a terrifying thought.
