Joe Taska is my friend, and one of the kindest, most selfless people I’ve ever known. On March 27, 2026, Joe was in a terrible wreck that left his only vehicle—a 2006 Kia Sedona—completely totaled. While Joe was not at fault, he only had PIP insurance, so he received no payout to replace his van. At 62, living with a disability and unable to work, Joe relied on his van for everything: getting to medical appointments, picking up medications, and staying independent.
