My name is Kate Rosenbloom, I live in New York City and I'm a friend and colleague of Joe Jackson.

On the night of September 1, 2021, Joe Jackson and Regina Texeira were forced to evacuate their building when the historic rainfall caused by Tropical Storm Ida flooded their apartment. There was extensive damage throughout the apartment. They currently have no power and are exposed to building materials from the ceiling and potential mold.

For now they’re safe and staying with family members, but they won't be able to move back into the apartment and need to find a new place to live. They need help covering the costs of cleaning, moving and replacing things! When I let Joe know how many people care about him and want to help, he and Regina agreed to let me set up this fundraiser.

Anyone who's met Joe knows that he's one of the most kind, caring, and humble people you could ever meet. At work, we're always amazed by what a hard-working and supportive colleague Joe is. He's regarded by our whole team as the glue that holds us all together. So please join me in supporting Joe the way he supports all of us. I know he wouldn't hesitate to do the same  if we were experiencing an emergency like this.
