Joe is my Dad, and he’s an Army Veteran who served in Vietnam from 1968 to 1970. He’s lived through things no person should, and has always been the one to give to others, never asking for help himself. In October 2025, our world changed when Joe was diagnosed with Stage 4a squamous cell carcinoma affecting his gums and jaw. This diagnosis led to a full jaw reconstruction using bone from his leg. Right now, he’s facing a long road to recovery with a tracheostomy, feeding tube, drains, wound care, and wound vacuums.
While preparing for his aftercare, we discovered a huge mold problem on the second floor of his home, stemming from a roof that needs major repairs and replacement. The house, built in 1912 by his mother’s parents, is not safe for him to return to until we can address these urgent issues. We are working with local contractors to get the roof replaced, remediate the mold, repair drywall, and make the main level accessible for his needs.
Any proceeds raised will go towards these repairs first, and then to help with medical bills not covered by the VA or Medicare. My Dad fought for his country, and now he is fighting for his future health. We want to ensure a safe and long life moving forward. Any support is deeply appreciated.
