Dear friends and family,
As many of you may know, there was a tragic car accident in Potter Valley on December 26. My nephew, Joseph (Joe) Stanley, was seriously injured in this accident and he is facing a very long road to recovery. Joe is hospitalized at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital. He is currently undergoing the second of many surgeries. His spleen was removed yesterday and the doctors were able to stop the bleeding from his lacerated liver. His diaphragm is damaged. Both of his femurs and ankles are broken. The doctors are hopeful that he will be able to transfer out of the ICU by the end of the weekend, but it is still unknown how long hospital his stay and rehabilitation will be. The expenses related to his mother and father being able miss work to drive to Santa Rosa from Potter Valley will add up quickly. I am setting up this GoFundMe to help ease this financial burden.
Joe is only 19 years old and has his whole life ahead of him. He is a bright, talented, and kind-hearted young man who has always worked hard to make a positive impact in the world. The thought of his family having to worry about money at such a difficult time is simply heartbreaking. That's why I am reaching out to you today to ask for your help. If you are able to contribute to Joe’s GoFundMe campaign, any amount would be greatly appreciated. Every little bit helps, and every dollar we raise will go towards helping Joe and his family pay for the expenses associated with his recovery.
We understand that times are tough for everyone right now, and we are so grateful for any support you are able to provide. Whether it's a financial contribution or simply a kind word of encouragement, every gesture of love and support will make a big difference for Joe and his family during this difficult time. Thank you in advance for your generosity and kindness. We hope that together, we can help Joe overcome this challenging time and move forward with hope and determination.
Sincerely, Kimberly Blake
